She's of French German Irish Scottish descent. Her family was the owners of the Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery established in 1847, in Erie Pennsylvania where her grandfather John Martin Magenau Jr. served as the company's President and CEO before its demise in the year 1978. Jacobs began studying acting at the age of eight and took acting classes on Saturdays at the Pittsburgh Playhouse while growing up.She was a part of the Pittsburgh Public Theater where she was a perennial contender for the Public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest leading her to be cast as Titania in their performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Mt. Jacobs went to Lebanon High School from 2000 to 2004. The award for her bachelor's degree was given in 2004.
